REFRESH YOUR COMPASSIONATE HEART:

A GUIDE TO HEALING ON YOUR JOURNEY THROUGH ANIMAL-RELATED GRIEF AND LOSS

I’m Chilidog, a dear friend and therapy assistant to Dr. Linda Harper. If you’ve ever been to one of her workshops or read her book The Power of Joy in Giving to Animals, you’ve heard of me!

I’m guessing you’re here because you love working with animals or you’re dealing with the loss of a pet—or both. We know that sometimes, working with animals is the best job in the world. And sometimes, it’s heartbreaking.

Welcome

You’ve likely heard of animal care professionals experiencing compassion fatigue, burnout, or secondary trauma. If that’s what you’re feeling, you’ve come to the right place, because Dr. Linda is a Compassionate Heart Specialist.

For more than 35 years, she’s worked with animal lovers in her practice as a clinical psychologist. She also founded a pet foster program, facilitates a pet-loss support group, and has lead dozens of workshops around the world. She understands the physical, mental, and emotional stress that comes with this heart-driven work.

She’s discovered that taking care of your compassionate heart is kinda like training for a marathon (like my sneakers?). And she’s developed a guide to help you keep your heart in good shape so you can continue to do the life-saving work you love.

You can experience this guide—with real-life examples and exercises customized just for you—in her individual or group workshops.  All workshop intensives are offered virtually through Zoom only.  We would love to help you continue doing the work that’s good for your heart, for animals, and for the world. We can’t wait to hear from you!

Love and lots of tail wags!
